Tower View

Tower View provides a virtual tower view for air traffic controllers.

To use Tower View, you must already be connected to VATSIM through a regular ATC client connection, such as a legacy client or a vNAS client like CRC.

To start a Tower View connection in xPilot, enter .towerview

When xPilot connects in Tower View mode, it uses your VATSIM CID as the callsign with the _TV suffix.

For example, if your CID is 1234567, the Tower View connection callsign will be 1234567_TV.

Tower View connections have several limitations:

• Voice is not available.
• Radio text messages cannot be sent.
• Wallops cannot be sent.
• Private messages cannot be sent.

If another user sends a private message to your Tower View connection, xPilot automatically replies to let them know you will not see the message and that they should contact you through your regular ATC client connection instead.
